Chasing Victory Announces Pre-sells for new album to release May 8th.
Chasing Victory's new album, "Fiends" which hits store and digital shelves on May 8th, is now available for pre-sell with Best Buy and Smartpunk.com. The pre-sells went live on the band's Myspace on Sunday April 22nd.

The sophmore effort from the Georgia band is a more mature rock offering but doesn't betray the hardcore roots of the band. Frontman Adam Harrell has this to say about the new album, "'Fiends' is very diverse and each song has something that sets it apart from the rest.

We used a lot of cleaner guitar tracks and let the bass and drums drive the songs to keep from masking everything with thick distortion, which has become very popular these days. The vocals on the record sound completely different also. There is a lot more singing and I owe it all to Jeff Buckley and our producer Nathan Dantzler. Nathan really help me capture a vocal sound that I felt comfortable with and steered me away from screaming as much." Chasing Victory is currently finishing up a North America tour with August Burns Red and will play festivals and tour with Showbread and labelmate The Showdown this summer.

The Showdown Hits OzzFest This Summer
The Showdown is scheduled to perform in front of tens of thousands of frenzied rock kids with such artists as Lamb of God, Hatebreed and cutting-edge Finnish act Lordi, who will lead the charge with OZZY in this historic move that redefines a concert industry marred by rising ticket prices. Lamb of God and Lordi will perform on the main stage with OZZY, while Hatebreed will headline OZZFEST's reliably down and dirty second stage with Mondo Generator, Ankla, Circus Diablo, Nile and THE SHOWDOWN. These are only the first artists who have stepped forward to be part of this ground-breaking touring extravaganza, with more artists to be announced in the coming weeks for the main and second stages.

The 24-city earth-pounding OZZFEST will now launch July 12 in Seattle, WA at the White River Amphitheatre. The tour was originally announced to start July 7 in Southern California but had to be moved to accommodate the extension of OZZY's European tour. OZZFEST will also hit Seattle, WA, George, WA, Sacramento, CA, Mountain View, CA, Devore, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, Kansas City, MO, Dallas, TX, San Antonio, TX, St. Louis, MO, Columbus, OH, Tinley Park, IL, East Troy, WI, Indianapolis, IN, Holmdel, NJ, Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Detroit, MI, Charlotte, NC and West Palm Beach, FL.
